സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഫിഷറീസ് കോളേജ് 2023 ഏപ്രിൽ 03 ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ എവിടെയാണ് ഉദ്‌ഘാടനം ചെയ്തത് - പയ്യന്നൂർ Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Payyanur Fisheries College, the first one started under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), which is based at Panangad in Kochi. The first batch of classes has already started at a rented building near Payyanur Temple Road. The formal opening of the college will be held at Subramanya Swamy Temple ground near the college at 10.30 a.m. by the CM.

Former India cricketer Salim Durani passed away aged 88 in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The stylish cricketer from the 60s was known for hitting huge sixes on demand and for his orthodox left-arm spin. Playing for India, Durani appeared in 29 Tests, scored 1202 runs and picked up 75 wickets.
